KÖZ-Pont Ifjúsági Egyesület (Centre Youth Association) is a regional youth association working in Hungary. We believe that through volunteer work and by knowing other cultures the youth will be able to develop its’ social and life competences. The common values in our association are: openness, creativity and trust towards each other. The target group of the Centre Youth Association are people between 10 and 30. Those people who would like to do something for the community while learing about themselves. We provide space and opportunity for them to become responsible members of the society. We aslo consider it our goal to empower young people and to operate a network of volunteers in the North-Plan region. To accomplish our aims we have many colorful and diverse programs. Regarding our regular activities, there are several volunteer programs, such as the Civilians of Debrecen. We have such partner institutions as the Refugee Camp, the Forest Management company (Nyírerdő Zrt.) and the animal Shelter but we focus our efforts on the children as well. We organize activities for under-aged handicapped, orphans, deaf, blind and visually challenged children etc. we organize youth events and through our Genius Club we are looking for young talents. Not only find talented young people and give amentoring for them,. But also to get in touch with such places and institutions that would be willing to accept these talented people. We have founded the Fellwoship of Students’s Self-Gorvernment in Hajdú-Bihar County. The goal of the program is to keep up the good relationship with the school students’ self-governments as they are essential part of its work, and this organization is truly for the young people, therefore it can only operate with them and by them. We have also partner institutions in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County and in Berettyóujfalu as well. We also offer community space for the young living in Debrecen next to our office. We would like to provide the youth of this area an alternative way of spending their spare time. Alongside, weeducate them on drug prevention, environment protection and healty way of living. We organzie many  sport events not just in our county but in the region as well. In addition, lately we have introduced our newest area where those who are interested in the media can try themselves out with our new program called: Let Your Voice Be Herad! This is an opportunity for the youth to write in a students’ monthly magazine and to be part of a radio program written and edited by them. We are also part of KÖZÖD! Program of the Foundation for Democratic Youth where we are constantly working on a nationwide network of youth groups. We are supporting the with guidance and in helping to reach their goals and to organze their activities. Currently there are 15co-workers of the Association, responsible for different areas. At our programs and events we work with around 100-150 volunteers.
